<p>I’ve been in fast motion my entire life. I wanted everything to happen now and not a second later.</p>
<p>If it happened fast, it was certain. Then I could relax and feel good. (Or so I thought.)</p>
<p>I avoided the present moment of uncertainty because it seemed scary. The not knowing created lots of anxiety. So if I could just make it happen, I could be in the future, where I deemed everything to be okay.</p>
<p>Sounds stressful? Well it was.</p>
<p>Pushing forward in fast motion is never comfortable. And it doesn’t get you the change you really want.</p>

They also believe something in the present moment is not as it should be, that they need to move forward to a place where everything will be better. They live in a constant state of resistance and waiting.</p>

As all of you know, I have created a new website and name for my company.  I have also created a new Facebook page.  One of my main goals in creating my new website was to create a community where women felt comfortable sharing their dreams, goals, and possibilities with like-minded women who would support them and have their back.  I find that way too many women isolate themselves and don&#8217;t reach out to others.

<p>I came across that quote this week and it really struck me. Fear is a driving force in so many decisions that people make and though it can be healthy at times, most of the time it leaves us in a state of half satisfaction, half deciding, and not really where we want to be. We fool ourselves into thinking that it&#8217;s safe because it feels good and then we get to stay exactly we&#8217;re at.</p>

I love to travel. I always have. Though it was stressful for me, I did it anyway. For me the thrill of a new adventure, seeing a new place, and being out of my comfort zone intrigued me so much that it far outweighed my fear.</p>

Resistance isn&#8217;t always bad, in fact it can teach us crucial things about what isn&#8217;t working for us. However, when it gets in the way of allowing us to accept and move forward, it needs to be released.</p>

<p>This came to me when I purposely avoided creating intentions and decided to let the first few weeks of January sink in and let the intentions form themselves. Then when the time was right I decided I was going to create my intention in the form of a word this year and that word is: release.</p>
